RE: Suggestion - Like Button #11
I think rep is a better way to show this. I think a better alternative would be to enable post reputation.

Seems like the other users do. We have gotten along without it but this is why I suggested it. As an improvement

RE: Suggestion - Like Button #13
the forum is supposed to be closed, The content wouldn't make it to the users wall if you are talking about social networking,
I think elaboration would help a little.

a thank you button would be nicer than a star rating, it would help you keep track of how valuable the thread was, The star rating doesn't show how many reviews.. Thats my only beef with that, If the Thank you button shared it to your friends some how on here while keeping track & still in replacement of stars, That'd be awesome.. & the ability to see who thanked the thread

pay to thank as well, this would stop it from getting flooded & help balance the economy by giving another purpose for points.

A thank would not reward the users with points. It would just show as ' likes received' under where your rep is when you post. And there is no need for a payment for likes since only one like can be given per post and it does not reward.

RE: Suggestion - Like Button #15
I like the idea personally, could also have it on your profile statistics saying how many likes you have received/given.

RE: Suggestion - Like Button #16
How about giving people a certain amount of likes per week/month that they can give?
Just so it doesn't go to spamming, and it would be special... And likes could also be post specific...
Just my opinion, we would need to test how they would work

Lots of forums already have this. I personally don't like the idea of a limit.

When a post receives a like, under the posts it will say 'likes received for this post' and it will display the number of likes and the users that liked it. There is no need for a limit because it's really just meant as a form of agreement, acknowledgment, etc.

@Oni, what do you think about this?

A thank button has been on the list of possible additions for a long time.
