I've never seen a purpose for them. If you are saying goodbye, then it would only be to people you actually have conversations with and those people area also people you probably have the Skype information on and frequently talk with. (Hence Goodbye threads hold no real purpose.) That being said, people are free to do whatever the hell they want apparently.

I'm not against people saying goodbye and letting their buddies know why but it really doesn't look good for the forum. I clicked "new posts" and I saw several goodbye threads lol, if a new user see's everybody leaving, they might not stick around.

I would never leave RF as I have been apart of this community before it even turned into RF.
I would like to see it better and come out with new stuff every once in awhile.
