Anybody who believes that Lil Wayne, Drake, or any of those actors are good they are not educated on the music they are listening to, it is not real rap. Rap was made as a passive protest against the abuse people faced. How is bragging about money and how many bitches you have fucked or still fuck real rap? They carry no message or a purpose other than getting money. Most people that like them are going by sounds and not lyrics or message.

And to certain people, the sound says more than the actual lyrics. The sound is music, the sound is the art. The lyrics are art on their own, they are not the same, they are two different arts of the same tree. You can say that both of them are not the original real rap that started it all, but times changes and so does art types and names. You can say that they don't carry any meaning to you or a meaning you can think of, but simply because you think or can't think of it doesn't mean it isn't there.
