Skype connection errors

So my Skype has been playing up lately, constantly disconnecting itself and saying it has connection issues. It is happening more and more frequently as of late and is getting quite annoying so I thought I'd create a thread and see if anyone has any ideas/suggestions.

It only happens with Skype. My web browser and other internet-related programs work fine. I can also sometimes still receive/send messages during being 'disconnected' I have tried restarting my modem and re-installing Skype so please don't suggest these haha : P!

Damn, it could be Skype itself. Remember they're are MILLIONS of people using it, so the servers could be overloading. But shiit, that DDoS that happened to me a couple of days ago...

He did not get DDoS otherwise he could not open his other internet programs. @OP: Take a look at your firewall, it seems that something is blocked.

this may not be useful but my friend said that he had this problem the other day and his friend said that moving his xbox away from his laptop might fix it and it did so perhaps it affects the signal or something...

I have my Xbox right next to my laptop at all times.. could be that man, I will try.

I wasn't talking about him. I was talking about my DDoS, similar things were happening to myself. I know what a DDoS is, I'm not stupid ;D

How about to check your firewall? I guess there is the problem.
