Skipping a class 10-29-2018, 06:22 PM
#1
I need some moral viewpoints for a class. There's a class I am taking this semester out of pure structure appreciation. It's based on assignments only and the topic is pretty interesting. Unfortunately it is a night class, but I haven't been going due to a huge gap and lack of interest in staying for it. I can do the readings on my own as I have been for the assignments. I gain nothing by going except knowing I paid for the class. I don't think an A or A+ final grade will be at risk by not going. I'm usually super against missing class, but this is just different. I won't be tested on anything said, everything assignment orientated are on materials I can access at home. I also hate libraries and work much better at home so I do get the work done there. Any suggestions ? Hmmm

In my opinion you should sort out witch lectures benefit you.
You should go to classes that you find interesting and the classes that seem hard for you, even better if you have a schedule of subjects, in that case you can only come to the subjects that you really need.
If you already have better knowledge than the lecturer there is now point in attending the lectures.
In my case there are a couple of modules that I studied in my free time so I already know more than the lecturer can teach me here at my university so I just skip those, but there are modules that are hard for me so I don't miss any of those.

If you really think you can do it from home then don't go. To be on the safe side, find someone trustworthy to send you the notes of every lesson. Just make an excuse that you have a part-time job or whatever.

I agree with what have been said here, if you're sure you can pass it if you skip it then go for it study it at home .
Everyone should learn how to code, it teaches you how to think.
You don't have to be a Genius to know how to code you just need to be determined.
The computer is incredibly fast, accurate, and stupid; man is unbelievably slow, inaccurate, and brilliant; together they are powerful beyond imagination.

Thanks guys. I've got some health complications to deal with hopefully this week. I'll attend the remaining lectures just for the sake of getting all I can out of my overpriced education lol
