that always happens when u try to access a page on https even tho that page doesnt have an SSL.

It depends how seriously you take your userbase's privacy/security. I got called out very early on for not implementing SSL sooner (a couple years back). All forums should have it, in my honest opinion.

Maybe if Sirius had enough sense too buy an actual SSL certificate.

A SSL does not make any site safe. It just makes the communication between your connection and that website safe - but not what goes behind that site. A brand shop with SSL does not mean they're to be trusted, it may aswell be a site which delivers nothing. A SSL is just to prove that the connection is safe.

People really don't get the real understanding behind a ssl certificate, anyone can get them easily.

It also makes Search Engines trust your site more and GREATLY helps your SEO.

Exactly. As I said, we take our userbase's privacy/security (in terms of communications and otherwise) seriously. I'm not sure who "people" are, but there's plenty of uninformed/misinformed humans out there. Tongue

Just so you guys know, I know it just goes about the https thing.
I was just putting two different pieces together.

I was talking about the message "hackers steal password bla bla bla", not about the SSL itself.
I was just saying that SiriusForum got hacked many times and that the message is kinda true.

Take this under advisement, you'll be glad you did.
