There have been multiple topics about this already, but unfortunitly it never got done.
So I guess I'll be doing this on my own (the ones that want to join are free to join).

I want to create a weekly OR 2 weekly newspaper for Sinister.ly, now I'm not that creative but I'll do my outer best to make it work.
What I want to know from you guys is the following:

- On what day and time should the newspaper be released?
- What topics do you want to see in the newspaper?
- Is anyone interested in helping me with this? PM/DM
- What should the newspaper look like (A SL thread, a feed, a webpage...)

The more detailed you are, the easier it will be for me. ANY suggestions are welcome. If you don't want a newspaper, that's fine too, but explain to me why then.

This gets done more often than you think. A prime example would be our podcasts, we recorded 4 but only 1 actually made it out. People just lose interest after a couple times. SL has a habit of liking to read things but not really contribute to them unless they're random lounge posts or skid topics.

You have a point. People rarely maintain and follow through. The first release always goes well, but momentum is quickly lost. Then we hear the same idea pop up 6 months later with the same results.

That'd be great, you have been around for quite a while and know most members here, so interviews/SL info would always be welcome, if you're looking to help make sure you apply for the unofficial group so I can add you to the list.

@"pyhrrus9" I know, and I can't promise that I'll be able to get it done every (2) weeks either. What I can do is trying, and MAYBE once enough people want to join and read it, it might all go fine. That doesn't change the fact that there must be effort put into it.

If I don't have the time to release something properly, I just won't release it. Quality > Quantity, there should be decent news and interesting information for the members to read. Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it.

I agree, it often goes wrong BUT I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not leaving SL, so as long as I have time and I see it's appreciated, I will be putting effort into it. Like I mentioned above, I can't promise that I will be able to release it everytime, but I'll try to.

I feel monthly would suffice if all else fails, we are a small community and despite spikes in activity it isn't really ever not noticed tbh.

@oni and anyone else that was interested in a group for it, one way to cover the group cost it to allow a paid advertisement in the paper it's self like half way through and at the bottom people can buy a little insert into the paper (like a signature sized image with a redirect link). Just an idea

I'd be down to be part of that group/help with the cost
