I have a lot of respect for cops, sometimes they witness horrible things. The thing that changes my mind is that some of them are racist. Of course this shouldn't change my overall view of them but I have been
halted and mistreated by an officer for doing absolutely nothing.

True this. Sometimes people forget even though they're trained, they're only human too. Engineers, Doctors and Military Generals all fuck up too occasionally, and they arguably have more lives in their hands as well. The system itself is definitely skewed against minorities though, and the system is what needs to be overhauled. More training (which is what many people call for constantly) can only help so much in a system that is designed to put down minorities. There will always be black sheep in every career line including the police force that don't do their job well and fuck people over in the process, but if you can fix the underlying system you will solve the overwhelming majority of the problem. The question is just what policies need to be changed to fix it.

couldn't have said it better myself. we just need people focusing more on trying to come up with shit that doesnt completely suck or just put money in the pockets of old rich white guys lol. too bad the people who have the power to change it easily are corrupt af and dont give a flying shit. we can only hope one day it will get better and do our collective best (not the retards) to get the right people in power<3
