Given It works with another monitor, It may well be a hardware Issue with your lappy, namely the monitor Itself.

Given It works with another monitor, It may well be a hardware Issue with your lappy, namely the monitor Itself.

Yes, I agree with you about it could be hardware or software problem.

Any settings in the bios or OS or NV control panel that describe cpu for graphics or gpu for graphics? shared graphics?

The BIOS Is actually a very good point.

You can reset It to It's default state, or flash It with the latest version. Of course, the latter must be done via the manufacturer's website.

Further to my above post, be careful when flashing the BIOS.

It can render your system futile.

you are correct about that. For the OP when you do flash the BIOS please keep your laptop plug in.

Flashing the BIOS does not take much time at all.

It's the (Irreversible) damage that can be caused, that's of concern. I've done It many times, and It only failed me on the one occasion.
