[CLI]: DCBUnpacker | Fixes reverse'd-byte files #1
v1.1 Update available here
I've also made a GUI for it,

I coded this unpacker because of the resources in an app having their bytes reversed, this fixes it

PS: The application can repack files except .exe's, please use the v1.1 Update available to repack files
(v1.0 also can repack files but doesn't specify it, it will just say "Unpacking file...", v1.1 fixes it)

Arguments:
- "--multiple" = The app won't close until you say so
- accepts "Open With" dragging | Filename will be "_unpacked" when successfully unpacking, don't know how to fix that

"Open With" filename glitch:

Nice.

Is It as simple as dropping the file to be unpacked Into the tool Itself?

I've located your thread with the GUI version.

The queuing system Is a fantastic Implementation. Did you actually Introduce this yourself?

yes, ngl i really like how some controls can be managed, like the easy drag-drop feature in the queing or the easy controllable settings, it's also the first time i used a drag&drop feature in one of my apps

The queuing feature Is brilliant.

Is there a limit as to the number of files that can be added?

nope, i've already unpacked a few thousand files (used the sample files and duplicated them multiple times, the app doesnt have a cache), biggest que i had was like 6gb of files, took a bit of time to process that huge amount but thats just because i have a bad computer

i can unpack a 50mb file in around 8 seconds with a celeron processor, the app doesnt need to much processing

an okay-ish computer in 2020 would i think be able to half that time (if not less) for the same file.

by the way, you can get some sample files you can use to try the application, the download links are in the GUI update threads

All my systems have 7th gen Quad core CPUs- with the main one running 32 GB of Ram and the GTX 1070 GPU, so I have no Issues with every computing task. Of course, SSDs are also part of the equation.

I didn't know that. I'll certainly use the sample files.

im also active on another forum which i run, it is however really private,it has like 50 people and its own client made by one of my member. however, i would rather not talk about it nor can basically say anything about it otherthan the name of the forum is chara, and that the apps on there are on another level (mostly coded in x++, with custom obfuscator and custom file types), the client has a very strong DRM (i coded that part). I use a few tools from there to achieve some very deep scans, explaining why sometimes i can guess the code of the app. That is all i will say about it under a public thread

edit: trying to play around with files downloaded by the client or directly cracking the client loads the drm, its basically a very-sensible ransomware
