I know many muslims, also muslim friends that do drugs and smoke weed and all that.

It's not my place to say nor am I spiteful towards your friends, but generally speaking, they're probably not the type who abide by their religion.

I'm saying this because I used to have Muslim friends many years ago, and whilst they were Muslim by name, they weren't Muslim by character. As a result, they were somewhat similar In nature to what you've described above.

Here in the UK I knew lots of Muslims who smoked weed while I was at college. some of even sold it. Once I got to university I even lived with one who was open to hard recreational drugs like MDMA. IMO the younger, new generation of Muslims are more lax about their religous views and are much more in line with western views and culture than their parents.
