Does/should this site need a shoutbox? Or is that Comet stuff all so dandy? It would be a neat addition for a shoutbox

When I first used this site, I heard that BEEP and was like "What's that?" then my friend said "uhh something about messages" and I had nothing in my inbox. I now know that it's the comet chat xD. I sure wonder what those messages where though.

We have Skype, so I only see a shoutbox as an unneeded annoyance. Personally though, I have always disliked shoutboxes, so my opinion is probably biased.
