Nice specs for a good price.

You've made the right decision with the Ram. In my computing environment, 32GB Is the minimum.
Yes, thanks. I only boiught it for ram, 500gb ssd, and 4gb graphics. 32 Ram for database work, or minecraft is cool.

I mean, Minecraft is a pretty good reason to have a lot of memory. This reminds me of the “buys 3090; plays minecraft” meme

I share your opinion- fully enjoying the availability of Ram:

And that's with 3 VMs running In the background, and 50+ browser tabs open.

omg wow, 50+ browser tabs and 3 vms at the same time and still no where near 50% of ram usage haha. I might be able to automate stuff on awhole different level with this.

9900kf
EVGA Z370 classified
XFX 5700xt
500gb intel ssd
16 gb T-Force ram
some 3 tb hdd not sure what brand anymore

Some cheap 144hz Acer monitor. It works fine for anything 1080p at high refresh rates. That's all I care about now. Hz > resolution

When you have everything up and running, you'll be glad that you opted for 32GB of Ram. There'll be no need to keep an eye on memory usage.

I still have 2 spare slots on my laptop, so I may throw In 2x16GB sticks taking It to 64GB.

Is this a laptop you're on? If so, which? I had a laptop with similar specs a long time ago, a Compaq Presario CQ57. Loved that thing for what it's worth.

Bingo it's a laptop? Or bingo it's specifically a Compaq Presario?

If it's the latter I'm going to be pretty proud of myself.
