Looking back on Columbine and all other school shootings, and also looking back on the Oklahoma state bombing, we can see many individuals are just plain angry at society to the point that they would be driven to such actions, not that they are just sociopathic or psychopathic, but sometimes it was a developing hatred of the human race over time. Many of these killers, didn't have an inherited mental illness. What is it that spawns such persons? Is it something with the mainstreamed culture? And is it because of human nature, that they are simply bad people, or maybe it is an extreme response to oppression that individuals have felt. Is it simply wrong feel such a way? I am currently reading the novel Crime and Punishment which has made me largely sympathize with the killer, the main character.

Sometimes the "psychopath" or "sociopath" does it for attention, revenge, or even the adrenaline rush. A lot of these killers never received a lot of attention from their peers, parents, or teachers. They might hate the people they are killing or just be doing it for fun. Many don't have anything going for them in life or had problems at home/school. If nobody acknowledged you, you were hated, and simply tired of living maybe you would do the same.

I don't think they were angry at society. They were angry at specific individuals who most likely bullied them.
