[SOVLED] Windows 7 Always checking for updates

Hey ran in this problem
Installed fresh Windows 7 Home Premium x64
After installation I always run Windows Update to get all updates needed to make system up to date.
And everything was fine until installed Service Pack 1
After SP1 Windows update just checks for updates left it for couple hours still checking.
Tried to fix in many ways
Windows Update Troubleshooter didn't work.
Restarted wuauserv still same.
Deleted DataLogs and Downloads from Software Distribution still same.

What else should I try to fix this?

Don't go through the Troubleshooter, It's probably as helpful as the Windows Help & Support - both of which are pretty much useless.

Disable the "Windows Update Service". Go to the "Start Menu > Run", and type "services.msc" (no quotes). The Windows Services will then open. Scroll down until you see "Windows Update" and double-click It. Next to "Startup type", choose "disable" via the drop-down menu, then hit Stop.
Click Apply > OK, and your system will not perform any Windows Updates again.

Yeah but I need updates.

This may seem obvious... but have you rebooted the computer?

Also - do you have enough diskspace?

Finally - have you actually googled anything to see if anyone else has had this issue and whether or not they resolved it?

of course did.
Plenty of disk space .
I am googling second the each solution I find doesn't work. Even if it does for someone else.

Doing so, will display a balloon tip In your Taskbar (when new updates are available) advising that they are ready to Install.

So your solution to his problem, which is that he can't update - is to enable and disable the update process?

... don't think that solves the underlying issue...

You can install updates manually. I prefer installing updates manually as well, so you can only download the updates you actually need.

No, that's not "the" solution, It's "one" solution. The other Is (as mentioned) this:

Another possible fix would be to revert to It's previous state via a System Restore prior to when SP1 was Installed, thus the functionality of the Windows Update feature was working flawlessly. Given SP1 was Installed, a Restore point would've been created, hence a System Restore can be performed.

And If all this fails and It means to enable & disable the Windows Update Service, then be It as It may. It's takes 20 seconds (literally) to disable the Service, and 20 more seconds to enable It when Windows Updates are required. If a user can't spare 40 seconds of his/her time doing just that, then It's a "user" Issue, not a computational Issue.
