This is a good move by the European Commission. In many countries, especially developed countries this is the norm. Repairing your electronic equipments will work out cheaper than buying a new one. If this regulation comes into force, I hope the quality of products be maintained to international standards. I say this because we have seen products breaking down as soon as their warranty expires now a days.
