Remove timeframe to edit/delete posts #1
It'd be great if we could edit/delete our posts whenever we liked. To update tutorials, or correct a typo for example.

RE: Remove timeframe to edit/delete posts #2
I fully support this.

I'd like to fix the link In my thread that I posted 15 months ago here: https://sinister.ly/Thread-Tuts-Reverse-Engineering

Due to the restrictions, I cannot do so and as a result, I need to post the updated links throughout the thread Itself. You certainly have my vote on this.

At the moment, the timeframe is set pretty high and it's not too much trouble to talk to a staff member to edit it for you, but yes, I agree.

Maybe make it for upgraded members only? Cause we had the trouble of people deleting their posts before leaving.

Hidden Lesson: Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.

I think It's once the time-frame has elapsed that's the Issue, meaning posts cannot be edited thereafter.

As with my case here, I can only edit my thread's post "within" 87658 minutes:

Spoiler:

There are 1440 minutes In a day, so 87658 ÷ 1440 = 60.87361. This means I can only edit my post within "60" days (round figures) after posting. Once that time-frame has passed, posts cannot be edited- ever.

I suspected something like this to be the case why this is restricted in the first place. Some changes have been made to editing since I posted this thread. Like displaying that a post was edited and when exactly.

Think Oni wouldve already implemented this if he thought it was necessary.

Hmm.

I don't think this is a good idea.

I doubled the amount of time not too long ago. Biggrin

Closing this.
