One could also say the same about religious people with other religions or atheist. We are not the only ones that provoke when you keep responding to us or making points for your god being real to us you are just as much to blame. It's also not an argument if you can keep a level head but most religious arguments are stopped due to the lack of evidence for religious views and turn into a cursing match and insulting each other. Just like this one.

I never said you said Atheism was shunned by the church I was giving you a history lesson of what religion has done to people who have opposed it before and I suggest you re-read that section of my post. Sorry if you don't like learning.

Unbeknownst to many people, Agnosticism is actually not a belief on the same level of ground with atheism/theism. Agnosticism regards knowledge regarding the existence of deities. An agnostic person believes the existence of [let's just say 'God' for our examples] God is impossible to explain. A Gnostic person claims to possess or have superior knowledge than other people, they claim to know that God does/doesn't exist.

Now, Agnosticism/Gnosticism can be interchanged with atheists/theists [people who do believe in one or more deities, just to clarify] to create four distinct subcategories:

Agnostic Atheist: One who does not believe in God, yet knows that it is impossible for us to know the truth. God could or couldn't be there.

Gnostic Atheist: One who does not believe in God, yet claims to know for certain that there is no God.

Agnostic Theist: One who does believe in God, yet knows that the answer will never be known to us.

Gnostic Theist: One who does believe in God, yet claims to know that he surely exists.

I'm sure most of us would agree that the idea of Gnosticism is pretty stupid, but that's not for me to decide.
So tell us, are you a Agnostic Atheist or an Agnostic Theist?

I'm aware of the multiple categories.

The term "Agnostic" is generalized as Agnostic Atheist in every situation I've seen / used it in. Not necessarily the definition, but it's a common term that most people are down to earth with and it's acceptable.

Also, the Gnostic listings weren't really applicable here. Agnostic in itself is also the lack of awareness / substantial evidence in believing in the deity regardless of the Theist or Atheist points of views; which is why I simply stated "Agnostic."
