Actually, also in NY and also facing same tests, don't sweat it honestly, the regents is meant to fool and deceive you into fucking it up so they have an excuse to cut funding, but take some practice tests and make sure you know the materials and you're golden.

Nope, History

Generally it's no good trying to revise for exams too long before because it will have left your brain again, obviously the best thing to do is have a continuous interest in the subject throughout the year so you actually get Smart at it (most people have 1 subject and to be honest it's the only one that should matter). But if you just do say 5 or 10 minutes a day for a week before you should be pretty fine and you can do it when you're bored.

I often find its like reading a book, (because usually it is) it's hard to convince yourself to sit down sometimes but once you do you can revise for a while before getting sick, just don't run out of content to look at.

Specifically for history, I'd advise just trying to memorize interesting snippets of info, if you go and read a Wikipedia article on someone and try to remember some of the stuff that isn't in the textbooks the person marking your paper will think 'hey this guy knows his shit', and in doing external reading (which is often quite interesting) you're also consolidating your knowledge.
