Hi HC
Today i am going to be teaching you how to unhide or reveal passwords in your web browser (specifically chrome and less specifically internet explorer).
Step one: Find a sign in page on your browser with a saved password and username on it, [note this can also be done on a shared computer].
Step two: If you are using the chrome browser then you must highlight the password and click the option "inspect element" this will bring up the element console (which is where you can see all codes and strings that make up that specific page) with a highlighted string something along the lines of this "<input type="password" name="Passwd" id="Passwd">" without the beginning and ending quotes. If you on the other hand are using interent explorer then your going to have to navigate to the tool bar and click on developer tools this will bring up the same type of element console except this time its in a new window.
Step three: This is the easiest step, if you are using chrome then all your going to have to do is edit the string that is already highlighted, now if you are using internet explorer you will just have to find that string instead on your own (shouldnt be that hard though).
Step four: Now that you have that string you are going to have to change (by double clicking) the part where it says type="password" to type="text" so heres what it looked like
<input type="password" name="Passwd" id="Passwd">
and heres what it should look like now
<input type="text" name="Passwd" id="Passwd">
By doing this the hidden password will now be in text instead of the dots.
If any of this still did not make sense or your having trouble ive attached a video of me doing it in chrome.
