A couple of days ago I whipped up this bit of code because I was bored. I've been working on it on/off since then cleaning up code and such, but I want some feedback on what you guys think. I was thinking about adding another sidebox to the left for a twitter feed to be placed there. I may be using this for a project I'm starting relatively soon. So, what do you think?

Please rate it on a scale of 1-5 and also please write a quick paragraph about what you think. Constructive criticism only please.

I think it looks pretty good, sleek and simple. I would use like a small tahoma instead of times new roman but it still looks good.

Very nice, but I agree with h0rr0r, times new roman is ugly. As for the Twitter thing, I'm not entirely sure how that works, but unless your able to insert a blackish (not Twitter blue) one, I wouldn't add it. Overall 8/10.

It looks alright. I'd lower the font size on the right menu, but up to you.

I would rate it 4/5
It have a nice layout itself, and colors are alright too.
The only thing that looks a little bad for me, is that the text in the big container have a scroll bar.
You should make it so the container gets bigger (vertically) as more text is in there.
It's up to you to decide.

Thanks everyone for your feedback, it means a lot.

CamIce, that's actually quite a good idea, I may try that for my next design. This one was designed to fit within a users screen though, with no scrolling needed. I thought that the scroll bars was a "fresh idea" to use, but I may keep what you said in mind. The only problem with what you said though, is that I'd also then have to make the sidebox (bottom one) stretch to fit too, which I'm not quite sure how I could do. that'd also look a little silly if you only have a bit of text in there, but the box is, let's say, at like 2000px. But yes, I most certainly get what you're saying and may try it for my next design.

I give it a 3/5.
I am thinking that instead of the box with the scroll wheel thing, it should just be a whole page and that little section the same.
Also, you should title the "Link 1, Link 2" etc. for easier browsing. Just a quick look was put into it though.

That's the whole idea of it being a template? How can I name links for people? That would obviously be changed if it was to be live on a site. As for the scroll for the container, read my above post when I replied to CamIce.

Ahh. I misunderstood. I took it as a rough draft for an already made website, that you'd add on to later.

I feel the rounded corners on the left side of the main text box feel a little out of place;
Everything else has perfect corners, straight lines, and the like, even the right side of the text box has straight edges with the scroll bar(which I also don't like, but that's been mentioned) I feel like the page started out being rounded and creative starting from the right, but began to get boxy when it progressed to the left. I really have no preference between rounded and boxy, but I think you should keep it consistent whatever you go with.
