RE: Raidforums Seized, Likely FBI #11
I wake up yesterday and a similar site listed on link-base had their domain seized.

Thankfully, this is a good platform and Oni doesn't abuse it like the admins of other fora. It is a breath of fresh air to come to a community like ours, not to be met with hate and gate keeping. The users here have never given me a problem during my search for anything, nor have I been told to fuck myself for asking a dumb question or two.

SL has evolved and changed over time, but I'm really proud of the nice place it is today. People can have totally different views or interests but co-exist and chat very happily on here. I love our community.

I'm not hard to find and I don't pretend to be. If someone is doing something contrary to our rules (i.e. carding), I'm only a phone call away.

If you're the sort of person that attracts that sort of attention, then you should be aware of the footprint you leave.

You think that the gov might take down sites that reference SE or refunding? It's a pretty shady topic as well but doesnt mess with the gov.

Social engineering in and of itself isn't illegal. One example of benign SE is: you go to a bar and pick up a girl under a pretext. It becomes illegal when you use it to commit fraud or identity theft. It is also possibly very damaging to companies and their leadership and among their employees, so it's usually not included in many physical pentests. But talking about it is not illegal. It's a highly regarded subject and has evolved over time because of its profitability and efficacy.

The RaidForums website is offline as of today and is now serving a Joint Task Force banner. It was operated from 3/15/22 until today. The admin, "Omnipotent", who was the chief operator, was officially served an indictment for operations from 2016 to now. He is being charged under 18 USC Section 1029 (a)(2) and 2; 18 USC Section 1029 (a)(3) and 2; and 18 USC Section 1029 (a)(6).

Conspiracy to commit access device fraud;
Access device fraud - using or trafficking in an unauthorized access device;
Access device fraud - possession of fifteen or more unauthorized access devices; and
Access device fraud - unauthorized solicitation and aggravated identity theft

Let this be a reminder that while most activity is allowed, the forum does not and will not ever condone solicitation, sale, or trafficking of unauthorized access devices listed as such, nor the solicitation, sale or trafficking of PII a/k/a VCC's, fullz, et al. It is against Rule 3 and is illegal in general to traffic such content. This is for both the protection of the end user as well as the moderators and admin of the site. I am not a moderator, this is just a reminder not to do anything illegal without the knowledge of the consequence of your actions, which can and will be used against you if you decide to violate the rules of the website or the rules of the Discord, etc.

The copy of the indictment can be found here where it is explained the extent of charges against admin "Omnipotent" a/k/a "Diogo Santos Coelho" a/k/a superuser "Downloading".

I'll be taking a further look at this and probably tighten our restrictions further. While it's always been my goal to facilitate discussion other sites might not, the longevity of the forum will always have priority. That said, it sounds like Omnipotent is accused of selling both stolen access devices and databases. Both things we prohibit.
