So an 11 year old came up to me and whipped me in the head with a scarf. I dealt with the situation in a swift line of "Watch where you wave your things" >So cool<

So my question is: How do you deal with awkward situations?

For example, this is a conversation I had with a random bogan whilst walking home with a tin of dog food.

Once I'm about 100 metres away, the bogan starts yelling abuse.
