Psycho Pass #1

WARNING: Psycho Pass contains violent acts of bloodshed and views not suited for kids,
If you do have a problem with that, stop being such a sissie.

An anime i'd suggest people to watch.
Psycho Pass is taking place in a futuristic world in Japan where peoples mental state and affinity to do crime can be measured by machines, thus creating a society entierly controlled by a system, the Sybil System. It tells you if you are a criminal or not, it tells you which future path will lead to your own maximum happiness. But will such a world be perfect?

It's one of the most well researched and exibited animes of all times, going from witty quotes to refrences any literature fan would geek over.
Also if there would ever be a definition for an Anarchist... it would be Makishima.

Some of my favorite OST's, also kinda shows what kinda show it is.

Definitely something I'd like. I'll watch out for it. Thanks for suggesting it.

Glad I started watching, so far I'm enjoying it. I love the setting, the plot could be a tad more interesting though.

Psycho-Pass" is a Japanese anime series that blends elements of science fiction, crime, and psychological thriller. It was created by Gen Urobuchi and produced by the animation studio Production I.G. The series is set in a dystopian future where the state uses a system called the Sibyl System to determine the likelihood of individuals committing crimes.

Here are some key elements of "Psycho-Pass":

Plot Overview:
The story takes place in a near-future Japan, where the government uses a system called the Sibyl System to assess the mental state of citizens through a measurement known as the "Psycho-Pass." This system quantifies a person's potential for criminal activity, categorizing them as either "latent criminals" or "law-abiding citizens." Law enforcement, known as Inspectors and Enforcers, is responsible for apprehending individuals categorized as threats based on their Psycho-Pass readings.

Themes:
"Psycho-Pass" explores numerous themes, including:

Free Will vs. Determinism: The series questions whether individuals can escape their fates determined by the Sibyl System.
Morality and Justice: It raises questions about the nature of justice and the ethical implications of a society that relies on a technology to dictate behavior.
Surveillance and Control: The pervasive monitoring of citizens and the fear associated with a system that controls personal freedom are central to the narrative.
Reception:
"Psycho-Pass" has received critical acclaim for its thought-provoking themes, character development, and stylistic animation. It has spawned several seasons, movies, and manga adaptations, further expanding its universe.

The show's ability to blend action, philosophy, and complex characters has made it a standout in the anime genre, resonating with audiences and sparking discussions about modern society, morality, and the role of technology.

for me it's very good to watch :wink2:
