I would assume that they would just only authorise carrier phones, not SMS app phones.

I doubt people would pay for a new phone every time they want a smurf.

Well I have 3 phones, the other two are previous phones i've used, just haven't thrown them out.

They could use a friends phone (That doesn't play CS), Parents phones etc.

They could use an alternate mobile, but I'm sure there would still be a decrease in smurfing/cheating. Smurfing/cheating is a serious problem and @"Ayumi" and I get cooldowns all the time as an indirect result.

Yeah, we get smurfs so either we quit because it's boring or we kill each other, and we get 1 week cooldowns each time. The cooldowns system shouldn't go over 3 days.

I agree, one entire week is crazy for such little action.

Basically this. And if you leave the game or kick people, you get the cooldown. And who wants to sit there and be the subject of target practice for smurfs/cheaters?
