To be honest, I'd take the annuitized payments just so people wouldn't try to rob/kill me for the money, knowing I, at least immediately, don't have it.

I'd probably take the money straight out without waiting for ~30 years. Right away, I would hire an armed body guard though. xD
The reason I would take it out early is because: with all that money I could start my own businesses and in the end I would (if I'm not stupid) make (much) more money than if I would've waited for the annual paypments.
Plus, who knows if the lottery system will fall apart and default on their annual payments.
I personally would not gamble with lottery tickets (or at all), because if you look at the math, chances are... you won't win. (shocker)
