Not really free... if nothing else it was the price of the lottery ticket. but many people spend 10's of thousands of dollars in their life time and get little to nothing in return. So when they do win... I wouldn't call it "free" money.

I agree. Saying that the lottery isn't worth it because you only get 330 million instead of 530million? if anything the lottery isn't worth it because your odds are so slim of actually winning... not because of the payout structure.

I agree. Saying that the lottery isn't worth it because you only get 330 million instead of 530million? if anything the lottery isn't worth it because your odds are so slim of actually winning... not because of the payout structure.
I only said that statement because you lose almost half the money, plus it takes too long to get it.
Plus it is an incredibly bad investment.
