This sounds kinda pointless in my opinion...
It won't really make people more active either in the larger scale, all it will end up doing is increasing the size of the threads, kinda like a cat buffing up her fur to appear bigger. But that's just my opinion.

Its actually a great idea, here is why, More activity on the site, draws more people in. When there is more people to talk to, members are more likely to stay.
From what I counted I am at 50 Posts as of now!
