I don't think they're apathetic about it, either. Imagine what they are used to moderating on a day-to-day basis, it's probably pretty nasty. I'm sure all sites of that nature deal with abuse/illegal content being uploaded, and it's hard to moderate properly when you're that size. Similar sites also have issues of videos slipping through, so I don't see this as any different.

Whether it be with flagging, human moderation, or bots. And I think their situation would be much different if they actually acted upon reports of sexual abuse. There wouldn't be a large movement against them, and they wouldn't be losing their precious dollars.

Probably the biggest issue is that it's hard to tell which content is actual abuse, or convincing acting. People are into some weird stuff, so there's no telling what goes on behind the scenes of the site. I'm just playing devil's advocate as I'm not personally familiar with their practices.

It's concerning that people are uploading/viewing the material. Eliminating non-consensual material (even acted/emulated), would make it easier for them to moderate.
