Not sure about the font choice, but this is a great start.

It seems you were trying to go for a "flat" design. I suggest using colors from https://flatuicolors.com/, they go great with a nice sans-serif font.

Yeah I got a better design from Crovus now, but it's basic because it was only a firsthand idea, and I like them to be basic over like 10000 layers for a header etc
