Perfect cutting tool set #1
When it comes to prepping, survival, bushcraft, and even camping one of the main things required is cutting tools you can do so much with a cutting tool such as a knife alone to survive its its too hard to pass up.

This is what I think is the perfect set

Bahco Laplander
Fiskars 14" Hatchet (known as the x7)
KaBar Becker BK16

TOTAL FOR ALL: $121.70

Too much for you? forget about the BK16 even though it is a great knife so far for me and go ahead and grab a Mora Companion HD for around $18 putting the total around $60

You know what, even for $121, I believe It's still a very reasonable price for what you're getting.

Cutting costs means cutting corners, thereby restricting the necessity of the knives required to "complete" their task as a whole. Do It once and do It right. Best to get the entire set.

Yea I personally am in the budget range and it took me time to get all of my knives but eventually I go them.

The Mora Companion HD is a very affordable knife, it is tough but it is not full-tang which means it could fail under heavier tasks that may need to be done. However people have been beating the shit out of Mora knives for 10+ years and they held up. Personally ill choose full-tang over rat rail tang but I got them both because a Mora is hard for me to pass up.

Homie. All you need is the Chinese Shovel.

I tell you what. Go deep into the woods with just that Shovel and get lost so you become in a survival situation and see how far the shovel gets you.

An all in one do it all tool will not work. If that 1 tool breaks (which no offense to Chinese people but being Chinese it is very likely to break) you are SOL.

I give made in China knives chances if it is 1095 HC steel but multi-purpose tools no because there is many of these types of shovels that fail.

Never put your life on the line of 1 tool.

I'd probably toss in a hammer with the set so you can hammer the hachet through tough wood.

It's all jokes.

Jokes aside, I agree on not relying on one tool. I keep a leatherman and a swiss army on me at all times. Even in school.

Hammering the axe is a bad idea as it can damage it or send chips of steel into your eyes, you just got to know the difference between hard wood and soft wood.

Hard wood will have more of a bounce to it and its tougher to split but you usually can always get it just a little more effort is required.

You can also baton with the knives to split kindling because swinging an axe or hatchet is not always safe.

Hm I've been hammering my axe ever since I started camping ages ago, might have to stop as I never really thought about the consequences Stressed

If you do continue to do it I would recommend using a baton instead of a hammer, steel hitting steel ehhh.

Or maybe a rubber mallet instead.
