I'm talking about sociology, and the various history courses (like I originally stated). If you don't believe your teachers (professors) are forcing you to think as they would, then you must have went to college because the vast majority of them DO NOT want you to think for yourself. History is taught in a way that favors your home country, you are not told the whole truth, so if you aren't really learning about how history actually happened how can you stop it from repeating its self?
In school (not so much high school but in college) professors do not teach by the book, they structure the course as they see fit. By allowing them to do this they have the ability to rewrite history and impose their own bias into lessons. This by definition is brainwashing. If your views do not align with them you will suffer the consequences, most of the time this is in the form of verbal mockery, or harsher grading. Please explain to me how this is a load of shit?
I cant speak for college but my High School teachers for US History and all that shit really kept their personal views out off the classroom, my latest never told us if he was Republican or a Democrat he always talked about stories from other countries and comparing them to the US and all that shit, we never felt pressured into a decision. But College is a choice not a mandatory school. What you are saying doesn't even correlate in my opinion due to the fact that everyone kinda needs a HS education to function in society.
Doesn't make my pointless invalid, as that is how things work in college. I'm sure other people can contest to this, I didn't not mention high school as there teaching style isn't the same as college. High school teachers typically go by the book because they often don't care. As for them for political views they often don't share them because the majority of there students can't vote or care about political things. College professors make it political because they see there students as fresh minds that are easily mold-able. I don't see how this wouldn't correlate as both high school and and college are both forms of education, and this mini debate was started because of Jadens tweet about "education".
Curious question, is English your first language?
Also it does, why would someone goto college to drop out to be more intelligent? Not what he meant.
Quote:why would someone goto college to drop out to be more intelligent?
Honestly you're quite hard to follow, how did this even come into play? Who talked about dropping out? Unless we're talking about you?
The whole fucking tweet was "If everyone dropped out of school the world would be a lot smarter" lol, no need to get bitchy either. If you wanna get bitchy please go back and look at your grammar.
