PC Care Tools | Clean Up That Sluggish PC! #1
This a collection of tools that I have personally collected for use of cleaning up a sluggish PC. I use the tools on my own personal computers or on other peoples if they want my help in speeding theirs up. I hope you find these useful. They are very easy to use so don't be deterred. I am not saying these are the only tools you'll ever need for your computer, it's just my personal collection that I find extremely useful and I hope you do too!

AdwCleaner - A program that searches for and deletes Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer. By using AdwCleaner you can easily remove many of these types of programs for a better user experience on your computer and while browsing the web.

CCleaner - CCleaner is a brilliant tool for cleaning and optimizing your computer. World-wide known and has had over 1 billion downloads! That's only 5 times less than Java!

MalwareBytes Anti-Malware - One of the most well-known anti-virus tools out there and for me, 100% the best. Full of brilliant features even in the free version, upgrade to pro for a great wall of china on your PC! Malwarebytes Anti-Malware’s industry-leading scanner detects and removes worms, Trojans, rootkits, rogues, spyware, and other dangerous malware from your home PC.

HitmanPro - If you weren't fully satisfied with MBAM, get a second opinion with HitmanPro. HitmanPro is a second opinion scanner, designed to rescue your computer from malware (viruses, trojans, rootkits, etc.) that have infected your computer despite all the security measures you have taken (such as anti virus software, firewalls, etc.).

JRT - Junkware Removal Tool created by Malwarebytes is a brilliant tool for getting rid of all those useless programs clogging up your PC. It's a pretty simple program, with only one option (pressing a key to continue) therefore it needs no pictures. A simple CMD program.

Optimem - A program created by AeonHack which is actually surprisingly very very useful. This gem has two options, K and F. K kills all shitty processes and F free's up space of the left over processes. Brilliant for on-the-fly speed-up. The only annoying thing being it will close every program you have open (besides installers).

Thx for the share @BreShiE. There's a few in the list I haven't tried yet so I'll play with them. There are others that are in my toolkit (HJT, MBAM, CCleaner).

Cheers

A 0day exploit (in the context of this thread) will almost always certainly deliver a payload (virus). If the payload is prevented from deploying successfully by an antivirus, the attack fails and your system is not compromised. This mitigates the threat of a silent 0day attack, whereas 'common sense' does not.

So wtf are you talking about? Where did he imply that a 0day was a virus? All he said was that antivirus software can help mitigate 0day attacks, which he is 100% correct about. Seems like you're just trying to pick a fight to me...

Not trying to pick a fight with you at all.

I just believe that the opinion was half the effort, so yeah, thank you for expanding on your point.

I don't see wireshark and Trinity Rescue in this list. Shame.
