PATTERNS TUTORIAL (Simple Effect) For Beginners 07-06-2011, 08:33 AM

Description : Simple grid,scan,check,dots effect that is used in lots of designs.
Requirements:
1. Adobe Photoshop (Any Version)
2. Your Selected Image~
THIS IS MY IMAGE

1. File>New

2. Let us Start with a Blank Image at 10 x 10 pixels & a Transparent Background.

then Click Ok.
3.Zoom in to 1600% (Whateverrr sizess you want as long as it is bigger than 1600%).

This is Our Size: (x[width],y[height])10x10px / BG: Transparent / Name: Gridlines
4.Use the Pencil tool to draw 2 lines on at the left and top edge.
(The canvas size&color is up to you, i picked 10x10 & Black#000000).
It will looks like this.

Then Were Done at our pattern making.
DEFINING PATTERN.
5. Next, Go to EDIT>DEFINE PATTERN.

6. Open the image you've selected, Then At the Layer Property Create a New Layer.
(This way, you can edit different parts of the pattern at the end. its either u want to put some styles at the Pattern that is Filled up at your image or vice versa's)

7. Go to Edit>Fill.

For Contents
Use: Pattern (Select the pattern that we just defined)
...For Blending
Mode: Normal
Opacity: 30% (Uhm, you can change the Opacity, depends on your view.)

Then So on, You can make different patterns if you want to have your image a little effect.
