@Oni and I watched it some time ago when we stumbled across it on MAL and saw it was ranked #1. Neither of us had heard of it before and thought we would check it out. It's a pretty good film, but I was surprised that it was ranked that highly. However, it went on to earn higher than average per theatre than all films in the top 12 - according to Box Office Mojo.

Who else has seen this? What do you think of its success so far?

I've heard it mentioned on podcasts and a bit at school, had no idea it was so acclaimed. Definitely putting it on my ever-growing queue of stuff to watch Tongue

I find it really strange how I'd not heard of it until we watched it, but now it's really taking off. It's a lovely film. I kinda wish there was more (like a tv show), but it is pretty perfect as a film

Saying that, Scarlett Johansson is in the Ghost in the Shell film, and that's from an 80s anime show I believe. Everything's possible. O_O
