Rurouni Kenshin is getting a remake in the next year. Was one of my favorites growing up and probably the longest anime I've sat through. Love to see it being remade with a modern art style.

The live action was pretty good, so the remake might actually turn out decent.

I havent heard of the original but the trailer doesnt seem bad at least. Probably wouldve liked a little more look into the plot but idk

I wouldn't hold my breath, but it sounds like they are remaking it based on the original show/manga. We're definitely in an era where reboots are exceedingly hit or miss. Good ones are becoming few and far between, but I'd give it a chance.

I remember watching the Samurai x ova's long time ago. They were really good, but I was never able to get into the anime series.
