I have no idea if it counts because it's a movie and not a standard show, but the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie was my first real anime thing that I ever watched. It's also still one of my favorites, I like me some sci-fi stuff - I'm not big on the whole big robots thing (Sorry Gundam fans, I just can't get into that apart from the guns because I like guns) but I really like cyborgs and augmentations and stuff like that. I liked the plot, I liked the animation, I liked the characters, so yeah, big fan of it.

If that doesn't count, then I don't know as I really don't remember many shows that I watch.

Movies definitely count!

I gave up the anime but I am still actively reading the manga. Bleach introduced me to both anime and manga xD

Pretty certain I will soon though as my main reason was that I hate reading things on a screen and like having the physical book. And I didn't buy the books cos I haven't lived in the same place for more than a year to two years for several years now and it's another thing to have to move. Hopefully my next home will be longer term and I shall begin my crazy manga collection >:3

I suggest that you read it online as buying mangas is not a cheap thing at all. The only thing I can read on a PC is manga nothing else. I suggest that if you have an android phone you download the android app mango and just read w/e you want while pooping or on the buss or w/e. With this app your able to download chapters for offline reading and I find it amazing for catching up with stuff. Just for whenver I am stting around I have something to read.

Thank you for the recommendation! I really hate reading on screens though. What I'll probs do is get things second hand or when they're on offer. Being poor at university has turned me into a legendary bargain hunter. xD
