Probably one of the stranger collabs I've seen. Axe is releasing Fate-themed body spray. People that have gone to conventions remember the stench, so it may be a good thing.

Men's cosmetic brand Axe Lab is releasing Fate/stay night-themed body spray in anticipation of the third Heaven's Feel movie's release in spring 2020. The campaign's duration is from October 7 to December 31.

The body sprays come in three varieties: aqua, citrus, and savon. These sprays are inspired by the characters Illya, Rin, and Sakura respectively. Axe's popular body spray "Essence" also inspired a sensual illustration of Gilgamesh. Those who purchase a body spray can download one of 11 illustrations of their choice as a wallpaper - five of them were drawn specifically for the collab, while the other six are previously released art of the other characters.

I was about to comment on how strange this is... But then I read the part about the 11 illustrations you could get. Do want!

Good point about the smell at conventions though. I wish there was something they could do about that. Perhaps more themed, perfume test products?

Japan has repayed the west after WWII with anime and weird colabs, and I see no issue with this.
