As the thread title says i just wanna know were you guys stand with Satanism out of curiosity to be honest xD.
Personally I don't mind if someone is a Satanist because its there life and they are entitled to believe in what ever faith they desire. But what gets me is when religious people take violent action and start harming other or rubbing it in my/others face's and again i want to know how you feel about this.
p.s I am not a satanist I am an atheist.

I have a friend who is a satanist. In all honesty I do not care what religion people practise/believe in, as long as they don't start forcing it on you or other people - that pisses me off really bad

It's not a good thing in my opinion, but I really don't care what other people do if it doesn't negatively affect me or others.

I, being a Christian, can't say I completely agree with the religion, the thing is, though, another person's religion doesn't affect how I view them. Two of my friends that I actually met in real life, one being a muslim, and on being a satanist, are some of the best friends that I've ever had.
I don't agree with "it", but I don't let "it" affect how I view people.
How I view it, let a person believe in what they want. I don't have to like it, but that shouldn't change who they are.

Satanism isn't really a single organized religion, you could say that it is an offshot from Christianity as Satan is a figure from the Christian bible/Abrahamic religions. There's LaVeyan Satanism, which is more of a sort of libertarian philosophy that doesn't actually believe in a literal Satan but uses Satan as a symbol of freedom and sort of has an occultic aesthetic, which is most common. It isn't actually a bad philosophy, really. There have been various theistic Satanist groups as well.

I think satanism is more spiritual and bettering yourself then a religion. LeVeyan Satanism anyway.

I believe it's often misunderstood, and for obvious reasons.
Satan is hebrew for adversary. You probably know that in Abrahamic religions, it's an alias of the devil, or Lucifer. This confuses a lot of Christians, without a doubt. And that's an issue, because Christianity is one of the largest religions. The religion shares the name of Christianity's biggest enemy. Few Christians will know about Satanism, as they've never needed to read into it, and they shouldn't. It doesn't help that a lot of people representing Satanism look like your stereotypical serial killer, dressed in complete black, with makeup. To an old traditional Christian, those people don't look very approachable, so they aren't given a chance to explain their religion. I've read a fair amount on LaVeyan Satanism, and I'd say that there isn't anything inherently awful about it. But, most people don't know that, and they don't care.

I don't really care what religion a person is as long as they are nice to me I will be nice back. Have the opinion as gays, as long as they aren't trying to force their ways or doing crap like killing random people, but then again people in other religions kill people because of their believes...
