For those of you that don't know what carding is it's using someone else's credit card to purchase items online without the card owners knowledge or permission.

I'm interested in what everybody thinks of carders; I know some people hate them with a strong passion, some who shrug and say they don't care too much, and then people who card. I don't card and don't find it morally correct to do so. My justification for SE'ing and refunding is that it's usually too huge companies who can afford the loss and the company may have done something even worse. But carding is targeting individuals, and you could fuck their life up by carding.

Individuals work at the companies you're hurting. When the company loses out on its bottom line, guess whose wages get cut? You're hurting someone else, for personal gain.

Completely agree. In many cases, if a company loses out on profits, that means cuts, as Oni says. They don't just sit there and think "oh the insurance will cover it". Also, remember, you may be one person stealing that one thing from amazon, but that doesn't mean there aren't another 20,000 people trying to do the same thing. It adds up.

Would you go into a local store and take items? Assuming it won't hurt anyone?

Huh, I have never really realized that mabey I'm too short sighted to think about what I'm doing. I think I agree with you and that anyone is capable of doing bad things due of how desperate they can be.

Just out of curiosity is there any particular reason that SE'ing is permitted on this fourm(and many others) and carding is not.

Yes, carding is much worse(in my eyes). I also agree that companies will, at worse, go bankrupt but before that, they normally find a way of losing less money and possibly even catching SE'ers.

In my view, It's one of the lowest acts fraudulent activity.

From an Individual standpoint, those who do It should put themselves In the card/account holder's shoes- attempting to purchase groceries for the family at the local mall, only to find the card has declined. With my line of work In exploitation, have no Illusions, I could be sitting on a beach fully retired but I would never stoop to that level.

Moreover, the company's clients who solely rely on their business, are also affected.

They too, may face significant financial loss and/or bankruptcy.
