Hello everyone,

Whenever I play CS:GO I only get around 140 FPS?
I'm running CSGO on 1024x768 and low settings, I should be able to get 200-300 FPS.

CPU: i8-8750H
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 16GB

Yes I have fps_max 0 in console.

That doesn't make much sense. If you have specs like that you should be running 1920x1080p, at 200+ FPS. Is your laptop thermal throttling? Its when your laptop gets too hot, resulting in your computer to automatically lower the clock speed of your CPU and GPU to cool off.

while i dont think this will make much difference, try running it in high priority mode via the launch options menu in properties.
append -high in it.

i guess you are using the dedicated GPU and not the integrated one for your display?

Based on the above, your PC should rip Into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with ease.

Perform a cold boot, make sure only the bare essentials are running In the background and try CS:GO thereafter. In terms of online gaming, Is your Internet connection active at It's optimal speed?

Wow, that's extremely hot. Has your laptop been taken apart and cleaned at all? The fans in your laptop probably aren't getting enough air through to your components. If you haven't cleaned it, I would lookup the model of your laptop and find a way to safely take it apart. Laptops are much more fragile than desktop computers.

your almost at the point of thermal shut you need to clean your fans and re paste your gpu and cpu that requires taking your computer apart depending on the laptop you will have to get the the mainboard from the bottom or from the keyboard on top take all the screws out of the bottom and see if your keyboard prys up if it looks like it does then it does and there will be screws underneath that you need to take out to get to the board buy some thermal paste blow dust out of fan and heat sink wipe old factory shit paste from heat sink and chips put just eneugh compound on each chip to make a thin layer on the very shiny rectangles if you dont know what they look like put back to gether and keep your laptop off blankets and that crap it kills air flow.

If you don't mind, could you post a screenshot of your Task Manager while running CS:GO? It would give me a bit of insight on what's running in the background.
