The grammar rule here should be strictly enforced. With that said, only new fags should get banned for it.

Maybe just give them a warning first? If they persist on doing it, then they should be banned.

Thank you! I want this rule enforced heavily.

Honestly, I wish it was that simple. Some people aren't native English speakers. Some people type differently as well. The grammar rule is more of a guideline and I don't plan to heavily enforce it - even if I did in the past. If someone repeatedly posts with terrible grammar let me know. You may also correct the user in question and possibly teach them something new. However, if someone is repeatedly posting gibberish and looking like an imbecile, we don't want them here.

I joined the forum today, only becouse Oni made a tweet on onioncrewz twitter did i notice this site being allive at all.
LQ noobs and leechers are needed to make a forum active, right ?

As for Grammar Nazi'ing Biggrin , we live in a international world! Don't expect people to be 100% right on every comment that they make.

I think that Sparks needs to make his own little domain and maybe get 3-4 of his friends to join, that way you can be all the HQ you want Smile Have fun.

It's nice to be here! Hope to learn and contribute as much as i can.

Oni and JarmenJuba have a point.. International member base = English will not be perfect. At the end of the day, as long as you can understand what someone is trying to say when they are actually putting in effort, incorrect grammar should not be a problem. It's when people who know better and are being generally lazy and slobby where it's not ok.

Also, people sometimes seem quick to complain about an issue (this is a general point about any SL issues that may exist), yet they won't actually address the issue themselves and try to assist improving these problems. Correct me if I am wrong though.

The majority of this forum is simply not that. When's the last time someone has posted a tutorial that is original and highly detailed? You may speak the most impeccable English and be the nicest guy in the world, I still won't consider you HQ unless you contribute something adequately beneficial to the forum. Threads such as "What do you think of me?" just don't cut it as HQ for me. Sorry.

A HQ post is not only something that others learn from. A HQ post is something detailed, original and in good grammar. A HQ user contributes him/herself to the forum. Their knowledge, insight, and personality. You won't consider anyone HQ until they they contribute? Well then I fail to see why you think that there's been no one HQ here in a long time.

No, just no. -_- I think you're misunderstanding the concept of a forum.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. If I wanted the site to be purely informational, we'd be using a wiki system - not MyBB.

Wikis don't allow for discussion. You're making it seem like people can't learn from asking questions and having them answered, or people debating a topic together.

You're straying. You started off with what makes a user HQ and now you've gone to how you can learn things?
