The gates have been open for a while now but I really don't see the point. The whole point of opening them was to grow the forum but there's no point of that if all the members that come in are LQ.This is sadly the case. The new members that are streaming in are Low Quality and just ... I love this forum because of the amazing tight knit community. This community is getting destroyed by this flood of LQ persons. There is no need for the forum to grow. It was fine when it was invite only. So please Oni. Close the gates.

If you think that their's no activity, members invite users that they know are HQ. Can you honestly say to me that all the members that have come in are HQ? I don't even think one of them is.

Yeah I can agree non of the new members are that HQ, but who knows. Every forum starts with something small. I say we hold on a little longer. Unless the invite system will be free.

I'm not "low quality" and I joined recently. Maybe closing the gates in the future would be a good idea but I don't think right now is

Closing them again would only detract from possible future activity - activity that the forum needs.

Keep em open and put certain limitations on users so they can't go straight to leeching.

I don't know what you're definition of "HQ" is, but imo nothing "HQ" has been posted here in a very long time.
