Spoiler:
How many more accounts will they ban? I've stopped botting.
Spoiler:
Cape isn't really nostalgia and I know I should play OSRS.
Most people (including me) haven't played that game in > 6 years...
Why do you enjoy it so much?
You play it ridiculously constantly. Even right now.

RuneScape is known throughout the gaming community as being very addictive.
Many, many players have quit due to "bad" updates and changes, as well as other reasons, but the first would be the main, in my opinion, however many have stuck around - there are still players around who been playing since RuneScape Classic, which was publicly released on the 4th of January, 2001. Many (thousands and thousands) of ex-RuneScape players had returned when Old School RuneScape was released too, which, if I remember correctly, was on the 22nd of February, 2013. A lot of people play Old School RuneScape because of many reasons. The main reasons would be, in my opinion, the nostalgia feel, old combat, old graphics and it being more competitive (than RuneScape 3). Oh, and players have their say on Old School RuneScape too.
One of the main reasons why players continue to play RuneScape is because they have a sense of ownership over their achievements. They've taken their account from what the game calls 'Tutorial Island' all the way to the end-game content. A lot of players do PvP though, especially in Old School RuneScape, rather than going for everything, such as max stats, the best gear, etc. The PvP scene/community is massive in Old School RuneScape.
Most players on RuneScape now can only take breaks, they just can't seem to quit it - me being one of them, haha.
Other players have found that the only reason that they continue to play RuneScape is because they've made friends in the game and they don't want to lose them by suddenly logging out and never returning. I've met a lot of awesome people in my time playing RuneScape. I'm still in contact with a few who I met many years ago (I'm still in contact with one who I met in 2009).
The developers/RuneScape team are awesome too. Very helpful and are always getting involved with the community.
