Newb to Xfce Debian #1
Well today I installed Xfce Debian on my computer, and so far I dislike it. Although I feel like I'm being to harsh on it. Because at first I hated Win 8, now I love it. So I'd like to ask you guys how I can optimize my Xfce experience, what programs, any tips, etc. Any and all help is appreciated.

Well I personally don't use xfce I will install it and start tinkering with it on my box. For the time being Google will likely have to suffice unless someone else knows about it.

That's the problem though. There isn't much out there to help Debian users, especially those on Xfce. Gosh darn Ubuntu users.

I use XFCE + Debian. What do you dislike about it?

It's just different. From what I've read I can't use GNOME applications, but the site says I can. So it's just new, and I'm not the biggest fan of change. So any tips on using it?

Since you're probably looking for a light experience (assuming because you picked XFCE) uninstall a desktop environment and get a windows manager, it would be much lighter.
