Need facebook-related tips #1
Hey guys.

So, I feel lame as shit making a post about this but I'm running out of options here.

So here's the thing, there's a group on facebook that's all about talking random stuff, trolling etc isn't moderated, etc

Everyone always got along fine and even though there's some drama here and there there never really were any problems.

Until a certain guy came along, somehow he got mad at us for doing what we always do and started reporting people's posts, which I don't think were anything harmful and being a huge asshole to us insulting the members and the admins constantly.

Now the problem is, somehow, he succeeded, facebook banned people for up to 7 days for posts that had nothing bad with them in which he also participated in insulting everyone once again.

He's left the group but still going at it, he mad a post tagging the admin as well as other people, linking the group, talking badly about the group and the people there.

I don't want this guy to get away with this, apparently the post where he is slandering several people "Doesn't go against the community standards" so I need to know if there's something that can be done to have some "justice" here.

I don't really want any black hat stuff, but reporting is clearly not an option here and I don't want this guy to get away with it...

So is there anything that can be done? Any sure-fire way of getting his post deleted or him banned? Anything at all?

And again, I hate making a petty post such as a facebook drama but I've just had it with this guy...

Oh and also, is there any way of facebooking unbanning an account?

Given Facebook banned people for 7 days, they'd have probable cause to do It. Meaning something (content or otherwise) must have violated their terms to some degree.

Is this against Facebook's TOS? Clearly I believe It Is:

Judging by what's documented above, I think reporting Is well and truly an option.

It depends "why" the account was banned. That's something you need to address with Facebook.

Facebook is fucked when it comes to reporting.
Ive gotten my friends accounts suspended just by reporting their photos for shit that wasn't even in the photos (nudity, violence, ect).
You can (or could atleast, I dont use facebook anymore) report people non-stop without any consequence.

This.

Alternatively I doubt there is anything else you could do and stay clean.

Yeah I thought that as well, however it might be because the guy looks like a muslim or something and facebook doesn't want to be called a "racist" because all reports come back with "This doesn't violate the community standards", it's like he's having sex with facebook to be immune or something ._.

It could be due to so many reasons and because of the magnitude of Facebook's network, It's not easy to get the desired result when reporting a user.

It's probably not the first time you've come across acts of this nature, and It certainly won't be the last.

for 1) re read the community standards because you wouldnt get postblocked if you didnt violate them
for 2) you need to search his wall and posts for posts that violate the community standards and work with your friends to report them.the more peopel you get to report the better. Don't report shit that doesnt violate the standards because if you do it too much fb will ignore your reports and say they review them but dont

Welp, he made a few posts tagging and talking badly about a few members and the group, several people reported it but it always said nothing wrong was done.

He also then insulted people on the comments of that thread when they said that one of them didn't do what he was accusing off, and that too was not apparently not against the standards, which I'm pretty sure it fits under the "Bullying and Harassment" thing.

As for the group, just look for Indie Game Dev Hangout x)

It's a group for indie devs to just talk about anything they'd like
