My View of Heaven. Worse than hell? #1
Let's begin. All religions demand you to trade your humanity traits in order to go to heaven and spend an eternity there. As some of you may know the 7 deadly sins are actions that human do without trying.

They all lead to mental and physical gratification. When you avoid doing something you enjoy you become a slave of it, and it still controls you. Have you noticed all the priests that have impulsively raped children? When you suppress your needs they will explode in the wrong way. This could be a huge factor of why priests rape Children. That or they took Jesus love for children in a literal way.

According to the bible (Christianity) you have to give up the life of a human to get into heaven. Imagine how spending an eternal life on heaven to be like? Is that how you want to spend an eternal life?

Imagine all weird and unusual creatures living in heaven. None of them can be human because being a human indirectly is a sin in Christianity.

When you see an overly nice person you automatically think "What a douche bag" or "The hell is wrong with that guy" imagine heaven to be filled with those people. Who are completely pure. No excitement, no danger, no nothing. It will be worse than hell in my opinion
What are you going to do in heaven? Play bingo games or monopoly for all eternity? Praise God for all eternity? For what purpose? You are already in heaven. Imagine a eternity with overly nice people and no entertainment.

It makes me cringe just talking about it. What is this called salvation, when all we know to cause entertainment and happiness is a sin? I see a eternity of boredom.
I in no way believe there is a heaven or hell, but if I had to choose between physical torture or mental torture I will go with physical one.

I think hell is the plwce where fun and awesome shit exist, and heaven is for all the pussies.

End of story.

Agreed. Heaven is completely ironic. If it was all blissful 24/7, eventually we'd grow acclimated to it and as humans, we'd find something to complain about. And if that didn't happen, then we would not be the same as we were on Earth, we wouldn't be human at all. We'd have some form of transformed existence different to how we once knew it.

Would eternal happiness not become dull? Eventually, happiness will become the norm, having nothing to compare your happiness with because there would be no suffering. Unless, everyday, for eternity, things get better and better.

I don't know, what is your take? Do you think you can continuously be happy forever, without unhappiness to contrast it?

Or maybe my view of heaven is completely off. Maybe there is times of unhappiness. But, like I've said before, I haven't read much of the Bible, but that will change shortly.

Edit: Okay Harvey, okay... Way to steal what I wanted to say, then say it before me.

Exactly my thought process.

I think G is yet again being ignorant and not really trying to engage in this debate. (sorry g :/)
Anyways, hell wouldn't be a better place than heaven as described. Why would you want to be punished and tortured for eternity without having the free will to do anything rather than being embraced with pain. Now you think being eternally happy would get stale and boring after a while but it really wouldn't. It is said that when you go to heaven you are put into your best image (young and in best health). You would be able to experience things for ever without ageing. This is just my philosophy.

Well, if you want my elongated view, ok.

In my opinon, Heaven is nothing more than a place where people go to relax when they die, they 'live' without worry and have a near unmatchable freedom. If you look at how hell is descibed(apart from the torturing and stuff), it looks like peoples beliefs got in the way of a realistic view. It seems like hell is nothing more than a place where the reckless souls that dont habe a problem doing fun and exciting things go to relax in the afterlife.

Thats how I see it atleast.

Strange, I heard in heaven you are given new names and bodies.

Not only that, but your past memories are stripped away. You won't even recognize or know who your loved ones are.

You make it sound as though it's a real place. :p
