So pretty soon I'm gunna be building myself a (relatively) budget gaming PC.
I'll be using it for the general things; gaming, photo/video editing, browsing, multi-tasking, etc.

EDIT: Updated the PSU as I wanted at least a semi-modular power supply for as much cable-management options as possible. It's a little bit more expensive but worth it, I think.

Don't go cheap on your network adapter and I'd recommend at least a corsair h60 for your build. Also HMDI to DVI has the same exact quality as just regular DVI so I'd recommend just getting a regular DVI cable.

I can't afford to go too far over £800 so, since the network adapter had good reviews I chose that.

I would agree about the h60 but for what I need it is overkill.
The h60 is more expensive and out of my price-range. I'm not going to be overclocking and this is my first build so I don't want to be messing with water-cooling just yet, closed-loop or not.
As the 212 EVO had descent reviews I opted for that as it will fit my needs.
Although I think the CPU-cooler will be one of the first things I upgrade.

I'm also going to be using this monitor as a switch-to for my PS3 and as the PS3 has no DVI output a HDMI-DVI cable is required.

Corsair CX series are thought to be unreliable, even though I have CX 600 myself with no problems.
1866Mhz RAM is not needed and has barely any difference in performance. 16GB 1333Mhz or 1600Mhz would be better so it is a win win.

If you are not overclocking, aftermarket cooling is not a necessity but always good to have!

Case is a bit expensive, you should check out Zalman Z9 or Z11.

Seemsl like it needed cooling hence your 3 fans, did the case not come with fans, I guess it's not a problem, how did the build go? If you've got it yet.

Sounds cool, I prefer watercooling, it lets me overclock my CPU more.
