My Father #1
This really isn't a rant, but more of a dedication. This is in the rant section because it is going to be a long thread.

I love my father and what he's done for me and taught me throughout the years. I'm not sure who here has had a strong relationship with their father, but I certainly did. Without him, I wouldn't have the health and wealth I have today. He is a doctor and it was easy for me to stay healthy, although I never had sick days at school. Our rough and strong times, we always had a great relationship together. He took me fishing, taught me how to bowl, and always drove me to martial arts as a kid. He was my everything. Anything I needed or wanted, he was there along with my mother.

I still remember him trying to teach me how to bowl and how ignorant I was. I just wanted to hook the ball and crank the lane like everyone else. He insisted I play the lane straight. After high school passed, I learned to actually bowl and my average increased significantly. He'd always hug me and kiss me when I'd score out there on the lanes and always rooted for me.

He was always fitting in with all my friends and his humor rubbed off on me. The cheesiness always stuck with me and will never go away. He supported my friends as well whenever they'd need something. Food, place to sleep, anything.

Well, I think I've had enough crying over this and time to get to it. My father just passed away and I'll always remember him as my Number 1 idol.

I am very sorry to hear this Matt, he sounds like a joyful, happy, well hearted man.
It's good that you go on very well with him as alot of over people don't get on with their fathers.
Rest In Peace.
