Multiple accounts allowed?

I didn't put much thought into my name when I made it. Am I allowed to make a new account here without getting banned? I'd like to apologise if this isn't the right place to ask this
But I did not want to make a new account and risk a ban

Because I would have to buy points for that or wait until I have saved enough and that could take a while.
